Is Jim Carrey?s Career On Ice?

The one-time funniest man alive, Jim Carrey, is yet again invading the big screen for what could be the first big family movie of the summer, but at what cost? Sure, it?s cute. The previews showing a goofy, playful Carrey, stumbling around with a gang of penguins have been airing constantly this week ramping up to the premiere. The only problem is that the film seems way too gimmicky for him. Has he really reached that point in his career, or was it just an easy money grab? Everyone knows that he only works for serious cash. He is one of the few leading actors who can rake in a huge guaranteed amount for any film. I?m more impressed that the folks behind Mr. Popper?s Penguins were able to fork over his kind of money than anything else. Either way, the early reviews are in and most are not so great. Many of them insist that the story is too predictable and that there is way too much ?potty humor,? with an over abundance of fart and pooping jokes.
